The International Association of Business Communicators British Columbia (IABC/BC) recently awarded Chris Freek, Principal of BrandFreek Communications, two 2006 Blue Wave Awards of Excellence for his work with Prospera Credit Union. The IABC Blue Wave Awards are Vancouver's communications community's pre-eminent awards competition for business communication. The awards were earned in the categories of excellence in internal communications and excellence in magazines.

“It is gratifying to end a year of amazing accomplishment with the recognition of my peers here in Vancouver,” says Freek. “The standards of the IABC are daunting and to be recognized in the excellence category is a proud accomplishment.”

Winners went through several rounds of judging by a team of senior communicators from the IABC/BC, one of the most accomplished chapters of the IABC. The winners were honoured at the Blue Wave Awards Gala on September 20th at the Performance Works Theatre on Granville Island in Vancouver, British Columbia.
